The season always kicks off with a practice night the night before the opener, but it is three weeks late this season thanks to "Mother Nature".  Bring on the 2011 season!

A couple of former go-kart champions, the 20 of Joe "The Show" Reuter and Brett Swedberg in the 3, now doing battle in the WISSOTA Late Model class.  This action is during their heat race in turns 3 & 4....

This was a very action packed night!  Not a good night for these Sport Mod drivers two laps into their feature.  All drivers escaped serious injury with a lot of soreness....  I Hate to see these kind of crashes, I don't go to the races for the crashes!  Just glad that all the drivers involved were okay...

Cancer awareness night at the speedway had a lot of silent auction items and a ton of items for the bucket raffles and driver doors for the door raffle.  Thank You to all the fans and the drivers for supporting this worthy cause.  Oh yeah, there was great racing action too, as always....

The national touring series, World Of Outlaws Late Models, invade Shawano Speedway for this yearly mid-week special.  Last year Billy Moyer, 21, set a new track record in qualifing for open late models and went on to wi the feature.  This season the Sr. Mr. Moyer failed to even make the show.  It was another awesome special!
